Fernanda Brasil

Principal
Fernanda Brasil is a Principal at BanyanGlobal. She has a special interest in working with family-owned businesses, having spent 20 years working with Ultrapar, one of the largest Brazilian public corporations, which started out as a family business. Even with its path to the capital markets, the company kept its family business values with financial discipline, long-term sustainability and a commitment to its people. Fernanda has specialized in Corporate Finance and Investor Relations, with deep experience in corporate governance, treasury, planning, valuation, financial due diligence and post-merger integration. Over the course of her career, she has held many positions in the financial department, including Investor Relations Manager, Head of Treasury, and Chief Financial Officer of a business unit. She joins Banyan after helping launch a start-up focused on making automatic payments for tolls and parking in Brazil – experiencing the satisfaction of seeing a project from the excel spreadsheet to a reality in almost all Brazilians tolls and shopping centers, and then the sale of 50% of the business to one of the biggest banks in Brazil. Fernanda holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP) in Brazil. She also holds a business administration graduate degree (CBA) from Insper, a top Brazilian school of business and economics. She attended the International Executive Program at INSEAD in France. Fernanda dedicates her free time to her husband and two daughters at their country house, where they love riding bikes and playing beach tennis.
