She also has a strong interest in family office design. Alison grew up in Indiana, where she spent a couple of summers working for her family’s foundry business. She moved to New England to attend Dartmouth College, earning an AB in Economics. After college, she worked in financial services in Boston, first in the Structured Products Group at State Street and then in Investor Relations at Bracebridge Capital. At Bracebridge, Alison was responsible for managing relationships with investors and assisting in capital raising efforts. While at Bracebridge, she earned the CFA charter. Alison received her MBA with high distinction from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. During her time at Tuck, she worked for the CEO of a Midwest-based family-owned communications business. Alison was fascinated by the interpersonal and intergenerational dynamics at play when working with multiple generations of the family. This experience furthered the interest in family business she had developed through her own family. Alison loves to run, hike, ski, and do jigsaw puzzles. She has climbed the Grand and Teewinot in the Tetons, as well as Mount Kilimanjaro. She currently lives in Boston with her husband, daughters, and rescue lab.
